STUDENT DATA CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

I understand that by virtue of my employment at Amelia County Public Schools, I have access to PowerSchool Student Information System which contains Personally Identifiable Information, the disclosure of which is prohibited by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, U.S.C. § 1232g and 34 CFR Part 99. I acknowledge that student information from any source and in any form is confidential and is available to me solely for the performance of my official duties as an Amelia County Public School employee. I shall protect the privacy and confidentiality of student information to which I have access and shall use it solely for the performance of my official duties. I agree NOT to access information about students outside of my responsibility.

  • I understand that student-specific data is never to be transmitted via e‐mail or as an e‐mail attachment unless the file is encrypted and/or password protected.
  • I understand that it is illegal for a student to have access to another student’s data. I will not share any student’s information from any source with another student.

By signing in Amelia County Public Schools PowerTeacher Gradebook, you acknowledge and understand that any person who publishes, divulges, discloses, or makes known in any manner, or to any extent not authorized by federal law or regulation is in violation of regulations protecting student education records.
